Response from Birmingham Council regarding Question raised by Hall Green and Moseley MP

We have just been forwarded the following response made by Birmingham City Council to the question Roger Godsiff MP said he would raise regarding the proposed MAT for Kings Heath

“We are officially opposed to forced academisation, but where schools choose to go down that path, while we don’t encourage them down it, we encourage them to do it in the best possible way. We also promote many alternatives to academisation such as cooperative models and federations. My advice is to engage with the schools direct – and the local Cllrs, who I know are involved”
